Welcome to Just Another Farmhouse!

So yeah. That’s me with all three of our boys. What you don’t know here is that I had this fun idea to do this messy photo shoot with the boys. They LOVE mud. Usually when I say something like “don’t jump in a puddle”, they immediately think “jump and stomp are two different words and she didn’t say stomp”. So you’d think they’d love this idea plus I thought they’d be thrilled that I was letting them get me muddy. Well yeah, it didn’t work that way. Like all kids I know, if it isn’t their idea, it isn’t a good idea. Talk about control issues. Turns out our photographer still got amazing photos- but it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. That is pretty much my life though. Everything is more expensive, more complex, and more messy than I really think it should be. This whole site is designed to walk through those areas of life that I’ve had to give up control of (faith, family and all things farmhouse)…… I mean my kids’ control issues were obviously a trait they learned from their dad not me…………
